5501-2013 CCP — Burton Compatible 55 Series Underwater Dry-Mate Connector

The 5501-2013 Ethernet Cable Plug is a Burton Compatible 55 series CCP, 20 shell, 13 contacts, combining a Gigabit Ethernet channel with power in one dry-mate interface. Ethernet contacts are arranged as twisted pairs for 1 Gbit/s transmission up to 75 m, while the power contacts are rated 600 V at 4 A — a compact solution for underwater systems that need both high-speed data and power through a single penetration.

20 Shell 13 Contacts 600 V Standard 10,000 psi Mated 500+ Matings 316L Stainless Burton Compatible

Key Design Features

  • Gigabit Ethernet + power: 1 Gbit/s up to 75 m with 600 V / 4 A power contacts in the same 13-contact insert.
  • Industry-standard interface: Burton Compatible 55 series 20-shell envelope — direct replacement on existing panels and cable assemblies.
  • Twisted-pair layout: contacts arranged as Ethernet pairs to control impedance and crosstalk.
  • Heavy-duty build: 316L stainless steel shell, moulded insulator, stub Acme coupling threads.
  • PUR jacketed cable: flexible, water-resistant polyurethane cable standard on cable assemblies.

Typical Applications

ROVs and AUVs, underwater cameras and lights, pan-and-tilt units, diver communications, subsea umbilical terminations, control modules, instrumentation housings and topside junction boxes.

Notes for Selection

Shell sizes 15, 20, 24 (and 32) with from 3 up to 39 contacts; PBOF and pressure-rated blanking caps available. Dry-mate design: mate and demate in dry conditions only, de-energised. Inspect O-rings and inserts, and apply a thin film of silicone grease to the O-ring surfaces before each deployment; flush with fresh water after recovery.

Custom configurations available Shell sizes 15 / 20 / 24 / 32 with 3–39 contacts, 1 kV–5 kV voltage builds, Titanium / Aluminium Bronze / Alloy 625 / PEEK bodies, PBOF assemblies, pigtail leads and custom cable lengths can be specified to order.
