K-FLS-D — K (5- and 6-contact) Locking Sleeve

The K-FLS-D is the K (5- and 6-contact) female locking sleeve for the RMG/RMK rubber-moulded diving connector family. It locks the mated pair together, carries the pressure seal of the assembly and provides strain relief for the pigtail. Standard material is Delrin (acetal); a stainless steel version (-S suffix) is available, together with high-pressure (HP, to 20,000 psi mated) and low-pressure (LP, to 4,000 psi) variants.

Key Design Features

• Locks the mated pair: retains the in-line connectors together and completes the pressure seal of the assembly.
• HP and LP variants: high-pressure sleeves are rated to 20,000 psi mated (approx. 13,000 m); low-pressure sleeves to 4,000 psi (approx. 2,700 m).
• Delrin or stainless steel: -D = Delrin (acetal) standard; -S = stainless steel for high-wear and corrosive service.
• Glove-friendly handling: knurled geometry sized for use with thick diving gloves.
• Correct fit by design: G size for 2/3/4-contact RMG connectors, K size for 5/6-contact RMK connectors — female and male versions matched to the connector gender.

Notes for Selection

Always install the locking sleeve after mating. Select the sleeve size and gender to match the connector (G for RMG 2/3/4-contact, K for RMK 5/6-contact), and the HP or LP variant to match the working depth. Locking sleeves are supplied as separate line items and should be ordered per connector; matched pairs (female + male sleeve) are recommended for new umbilicals.
