MCIL8M-CAT Micro Circular In-Line Connector — CAT6 Ethernet

The MCIL8M-CAT is an 8-contact Micro Circular in-line connector, male (pins) face, carrying four twisted pairs on a CAT6 cable. It is wet-mateable, rated to 10 A per contact (50 A per connector) at 7,000 m working depth, and is intended for 10/100/1000BASE-T links between subsea cameras, sonar, instruments and control pods.

Key Design Features

• CAT6 data path: four screened twisted pairs, 24 AWG, aluminium foil plus 80% tinned copper braid, on a 9.6 mm PUR jacket.
• Wet-mateable: each contact is individually sealed, so a single O-ring failure does not flood the connector.
• SubConn Compatible: identical face geometry, contact pitch and 7/16-20 UNF-2A coupling, so an Ethernet drop can be added to an existing harness without changing the panel cut-out.
• Gold-plated contacts: brass UNS-C36000 contacts hold resistance below 0.01 Ω across the full 500-cycle life.
• Moulded strain relief: the cable joint is factory moulded, so there is no crimp to fail at the entry.
