Pressure testing is a core qualification for underwater connectors to prove sealing integrity under deep-sea hydrostatic load. Buyers need to distinguish between **factory hydrostatic test, qualification test, and in-situ field test**, as well as key parameters: test pressure, hold duration, acceptance criteria, dry / wet test method, and whether the test is performed with fully assembled mated pairs. A higher test pressure rating does not always equal suitability for your project; safety factor, seawater temperature, cyclic pressure load and long-term creep of sealing materials must be considered. Proper test documentation including test reports, calibration records and batch traceability is essential for offshore, ROV and subsea engineering acceptance.
