BH6F Circular Series Bulkhead Connector — Overview

The BH6F is a 6-contact Circular series subsea bulkhead connector, female (sockets) face, wet-mateable and rated 10 A per contact at 7,000 m operational depth. It mounts through a standard hull penetration and is supplied with colour-coded PTFE leads for splicing inside the housing.

Key Design Features

• Wet-mateable: mate and demate in seawater; each contact carries its own moulded seal, so a single seal failure does not flood the connector.
• SubConn Compatible: the same face geometry, contact pitch and 5/8-18 UNF-2A thread, so it retrofits existing panels and harnesses without re-machining.
• Gold-plated contacts: brass UNS-C36000 contacts hold contact resistance below 0.01 Ω across the full 500-cycle life.
• 10 A per contact: rated current with a 50 A connector limit for the 6-contact shell.
• Pressure qualified: 1,400 bar mated design depth, 800 bar open face; a PEEK shell extends service to 300 bar where weight matters.
• Field serviceable: locking sleeves, O-rings and snap rings are replaceable; lead, thread and cable lengths can be specified to order.
