DC12F Underwater Circular Series Connector Dummy Plug 12 Pin Contact Female

DC12F Circular Series Dummy Connector — Overview

The DC12F is a pressure-proof dummy connector (protective cap) for 12-contact Circular series connectors, female (sockets, fits male connectors). It seals the contact face when the connector is unmated, keeping seawater, sediment and mechanical damage away from the gold-plated contacts.

12 Contacts Pressure-Proof Cap SubConn Compatible

Why Use a Dummy Connector

• Protects the contact face: gold plating corrodes and fouls quickly when left open to seawater; a capped connector mates like new after months of storage.
• Pressure proof: a capped connector keeps its full depth rating, so an unmated spare branch does not become the weak point of a harness.
• SubConn Compatible: the same face geometry and locking-sleeve retention as the BH / IL series it protects.
• Deck and store service: fits service spares, harness ends on the deck of an ROV and connectors in long-term storage.

Typical Applications

Protective caps for stored or service spare connectors, deck handling, long-term storage of mated spares.

Notes for Selection

The pressure-proof dummy keeps seawater and debris out of the contact face when the connector is unmated. DC12F fits male connectors (BH12M / IL12M).
