HF50CXIL6M / HF75CXIL6M In-Line Coax Connector — Overview

The HF50CXIL6M / HF75CXIL6M is a SubConn Compatible in-line (cable-to-cable / cable-to-equipment) subsea coaxial connector, male (pins) face, combining one gold-plated coax contact with six electric power/signal contacts in a single concentric wet-mateable interface. Supplied in 50 Ω and 75 Ω impedance versions, it carries high-definition (HD) video from cameras and telemetry systems together with power and control signals through one penetration, rated to 600 bar (approx. 6,000 m) when mated.

Coax + 6 Electric Contacts 50 / 75 Ω 3.0 GHz HD Video 600 bar Mated / 6,000 m 300 V / 5 A Dry Mate SubConn Compatible

Key Design Features

  • HD video + power in one connector: a specialized concentric design maintains constant characteristic impedance while six electric contacts handle power and signal on the same interface.
  • 50 Ω and 75 Ω versions: matched to standard video and RF equipment; recommended bandwidth up to 3.0 GHz with low, published attenuation.
  • SubConn Compatible: standard A-size footprint with the characteristic locking sleeves, so it retrofits existing SubConn Coax panels and handlers without re-machining.
  • Depth qualified: pressure tested to 600 bar / 8,700 psi mated — hydrostatic conditions at approx. 6,000 m.
  • Gold-plated contacts: coax contacts gold-plated; power contacts in gold-plated brass UNS-C36000 (sockets) and gold-plated beryllium copper (pins) for stable low-resistance paths.
  • Rugged marine build: chloroprene rubber body, nitrile O-rings and stainless steel snap rings for offshore, defence and oceanographic service.

Typical Applications

HD underwater camera and video systems, ROV and ROTV telemetry, sonar and antenna feeds, offshore oil and gas and renewable energy systems, defence equipment, oceanographic instrumentation and diving systems.

Notes for Selection

Dry mating only. Coax series connectors are designed for dry mating and are not suitable for open-face pressure or waterblock applications, and they are not rated for wet mating cycles. Locking sleeves are required. Do not grease the actual coax part. All frequency and attenuation values are based on a 10 m cable assembly test including two bulkhead connectors.

Custom configurations available Bulkhead body material (brass / stainless steel / titanium / anodised aluminium), thread and lead lengths, customised harness cables and direct moulding to selected PUR cables can be specified to order. Certified pressure test reports available on request. Send us your drawing or mating requirement for a quotation.
