4-Core Fibre Underwater Connector — Overview

The 4-Core Fibre Underwater Connector from the SubConn Compatible Photoelectric Series is a CCP cable connector plug (in-line, cable mount), delivering reliable fibre optic connection in a minimum-sized stainless steel body rated to 8,000 m. Low insertion loss and low back reflection make it ideal for high-speed data and video transmission on ROVs, ROTVs, UUVs and subsea multiplexers. This is a dedicated fibre optic connector; it does not carry electrical power. For combined fibre + power in one interface, use the hybrid 2F+2P, 4F+2P or 12F+2P versions.

Standard depth rating 4,000–6,000 m across the series (4-core versions 8,000 m per model listing); water pressure grade 1–40 MPa with certified pressure testing to specific ocean depths available on request. Single-mode or multi-mode fibre, custom fibre/power combinations (1 fibre • 2 fibre • 2 fibre + 2 power • 2 fibre + 5 power • 4 fibre • 4 fibre + 4 power • 12 fibre + 2 power — custom combinations on request) can be specified to order. Fibre terminations should be kept clean and capped with the dust-proof lock cap when unmated.
