DIL8F Ethernet In-Line Connector — Overview

The DIL8F is a 8-contact SubConn Compatible Ethernet in-line subsea connector, female (sockets) face, dedicated to Gigabit Ethernet. Four twisted pairs are routed through a reconfigured gold-plated contact set that maximises data flow while eliminating cross-talk and noise, sustaining 1 Gbit/s up to 75 m.

Key Design Features

• True Gigabit Ethernet: 1 Gbit/s up to 75 m with CAT 5E type conductors and controlled-impedance contact geometry.
• Wet-mateable: connect and disconnect underwater; the design eliminates cross-talk and noise in the mated face.
• SubConn Compatible: same face geometry and thread as the SubConn Ethernet series, so it retrofits existing panels without re-machining.
• Gold-plated contacts: female sockets in gold-plated brass UNS-C36000, male contacts in gold-plated beryllium copper for repeatable low-resistance connection.
• CAT 5E leads: bulkheads supplied with CAT 5E patch leads (RJ45 included, not installed); inline versions moulded on 3.3 ft (100 cm) 4-pair PUR cable.
• Depth qualified: pressure tested to 600 bar / 8,700 psi open face. PEEK body option rated 300 bar / 4,350 psi.

Notes for Selection

This is a dedicated data connector rated 250 V DC/AC rms; it does not carry separate power. For combined power and Ethernet in one interface, use the 13-contact Power Ethernet variant.
